Getting Started

FLL is a great program for kids from 9-14 years of age and Jr. FLL is for kids 6-9.  There are a few links to some important sites for learning about the program(s) and how you can join or start a team.

FIRST currently supports two LEGO based programs for young students:

• FLL: Designed for teams of up to 10 students between the aged 9-14
• Jr. FLL: Designed for teams of up to 5 students between the aged 6-9

For a number of reasons, it is difficult for Operational Partners to match an individual (student) with an FLL/JFLL team.  Typically, the Operational Partners encourage interested individuals to consider forming their own team.  There is a forum, created by a former NH FLL Team that can help you find a team (see TeamMatch info below).

Need help finding a nearby team? FIRST has created a new tool that allows users to search for team information such as teams accepting new members, teams looking for new mentors, mentors looking for teams, parents looking for teams and parents connecting with other parents (neither party is affiliated with an official team).
