Welcome to the BAE Systems/Granite State Regional for 2012

Congratulations on being a part of the 10th anniversary of the Granite State Regional competition. Get ready for the time of your life!

Manchester, New Hampshire is not only famous for its rich political and cultural heritage, but it's also the birthplace of the FIRST Robotics Competition!

Oh how it's grown in just 10 short years. Today, more than 40,000 high school students from all over the world are participating in this year's competition.

BAE Systems supports FIRST because you represent the world's future engineers and scientists, and because FIRST represents the true innovative spirit of our technological world with Gracious Professionalism™.

The FIRST experience has already allowed you to learn from and play with the "pros" of the science and math world. You have applied your knowledge to the design, build and test of your team's robot. And you have already gained valuable hands-on experience solving real-world problems that will serve you well if you pursue the rewards of a science and math career.

Now it's time for you to have FUN!

Teachers, administrators, parents, communities, mentors, and most of all, Volunteers (with a capital V!) have spent countless hours collaborating to make this unique opportunity a reality. To everyone who helped make the Granite State Regional possible, (including YOU!), BAE Systems sincerely thanks you!

Again, welcome to Manchester. The FIRST competition is the most energizing technology event for high school students in the world, and we're extremely proud to be a part of it with you.

Good luck to all teams!
