Welcome to the 2013 BAE Systems Granite State Regional FIRST® Robotics Competition Congratulations on being a part of the 11th anniversary of the Granite State Regional competition. Get ready to have the time of your life. Worldwide, close to 60,000 high school students from more than 10 countries are participating in this year’s FIRST Robotics Competition. You are a part of this exciting movement as a participant in the Granite State Regional Competition – the birthplace of the FIRST Robotics Competition. The FIRST experience has already allowed you to learn from and play with the true professionals of the science and math world. You have applied your knowledge to design, build, and test your team’s robot and you have gained valuable hands-on experience solving problems along the way. None of this would have been possible without the teachers, administrators, parents, communities, mentors, and most of all – volunteers – who have spent countless hours collaborating to make this unique opportunity a reality. To everyone who helped make the Granite State Regional possible, BAE Systems sincerely thanks you. Again, welcome to Manchester. The FIRST Robotics Competition is the most energizing technology event for high school students in the world, and we’re extremely proud to be a part of it with you. Good luck to you all. Kerry Creeden, Sue Peckham, & Brian Belley
