Looking forward to seeing everyone at the Granite State Regional

Thank you mentors, volunteers, students, family, and members of this great community for another successful Granite State Regional FIRST Robotics Competition held at the Verizon Wireless Arena in Manchester, in 2009. We are looking forward to seeing everyone again on March 4 – 6 2010!

BAE Systems is excited to see many talented students participate in this event which will be attended by thousands of spectators and covered by local media outlets. Each year it is exciting to see how so many different robots can be built to accomplish the same goal. We are always impressed by the creativity and cooperation of the teams for the pursuit of the perfect robot. By stretching their imaginations and learning from mentors in industry, student’s developed skills they will need to contribute in a world of continuous change.

This year many teams were faced with additional challenges due to the economy. Teams have had to be more creative in finding ways to minimize costs during the build season. It is always inspiring to walk around the pits and see teams working together and helping each other out. The students’ spirit and energy creates a fun an exciting atmosphere throughout the 3 day event.

FIRST represents a cooperative team effort by teachers and administrators, parents, communities, mentors, and volunteers. We thank these people for their time to inspire the next generation of scientists, engineers, and inventors. FIRST provides a unique opportunity to students to develop their talents and the confidence to face the challenges of tomorrow.

Good luck during the build season and we look forward to seeing everyone in March!
